Terms and Conditions for Website-Fast and First-Website products
1. Definitions.
1.1 UK-WW refers to UK Website Workshop Limited, ( company number 6708841), registered at 90 Deansgate Manchester M3 2QJ and having an operational address at 71 High Elm Road Halebarns Altrincham WA15 0RN.
1.2 Project refers to services undertaken by UK-WW for the Client on their request and detailed in a Project Specification Document which will be prepared by UK-WW. The Client will confirm their agreement with the Project Specification Document by email or signature.
1.3 Client refers to a person, persons, business or organisation using the services provided by UK-WW.
1.4 Live on the Internet refers to a website which can be accessed on the internet by via its own domain address; i.e. this is in contrast to a website which is accessed on the UK-WW development server via a UK-WW domain.
1.5 Hosting is a yearly payment to keep the Client’s website live online.
1.6 Content refers to text animation artwork and images displayed on a website.
1.7 First-Website is a service where a Client supplies content and chooses a website layout from the UK-WW First-Website Portfolio. UK-WW create a website using the content supplied by the Client and the portfolio website layout. The client upon payment has the right to use the website design, but the design remains the intellectual property of UK-WW and can be re-used by UK-WW to create a website for a third party.
1.8 Website-Fast is a service where a Client supplies content and chooses a website layout from the UK-WW First-Website-Fast Portfolio. UK-WW create a website using the content supplied by the Client and the portfolio website layout. The client upon payment has the right to use the website design, but the design remains the intellectual property of UK-WW and can be re-used by UK-WW to create a website for a third party.
2. These products may be sold online or by telephone. In these cases the safeguards for customers set out in the Distance Selling and E-commerce regulation will apply.
3. First Website and Website Fast websites are built using website designs created by UK Website Workshop Limited. The content (text and images) supplied by the Client will be input by input by UK-WW.
4. On final payment the Client has the right to use the website design for their website but the ownership of the basic design remains with UK-WW . UK-WW retain the right to any content created or supplied by UK-WW.
5. On receipt of cleared final payment from a client UK-WW will provide free a .co.uk domain name chosen by UK-WW and 12 months free hosting.
6. The Client may transfer hosting to another hosting server at any time. A transfer administration fee of £50 will become payable to UK-WW by the Client and must be paid before the domain will be transferred.
7. First Websites and Website Fast are available in two formats (i) Home page plus a contact us page and (ii) as four pages plus a contact us page. The price is clearly shown on the website and is subject to change from time to time. For websites priced at less than £100 the whole amount is payable at the time of ordering. For all other websites a deposit of £100 is required at the time of ordering.
8. The Client may cancel within a7 day cooling off period by writing to UK –WW at the operational address . Deposits will be returned within 30 days.
9. Where the Client has agreed that work should start within the cooling off period the deposit becomes non refundable.
10. Websites will normally go live on the web within 30 days of an order being placed, subject to the Client supplying Content within a reasonable timescale, and paying the agreed price in full.
